Devnet Guide

GradOrNot is currently live on Solana Devnet — a free testing network where you can try every feature without risking real funds. This guide will get you set up in under five minutes.

Devnet SOL has no monetary value. You can request it for free and use it to place trades, create markets, and explore the platform risk-free.

1. Set Up Your Wallet for Devnet

Phantom

  1. Click the Settings gear icon.
  2. Go to Developer Settings.
  3. Toggle Testnet Mode on.
  4. Select Solana Devnet.

Solflare

  1. Click the gear icon (top-right).
  2. Under General → Network, select Devnet.

Backpack

  1. Go to Settings → Preferences.
  2. Under Solana → RPC Connection, switch to Devnet.
Remember to switch your wallet back to Mainnet when you're done testing. Devnet and mainnet use different addresses and balances.

2. Get Free Devnet SOL

You need devnet SOL to pay for transactions. Here are two easy ways to get some:

Web Faucet easiest

  1. Go to faucet.solana.com
  2. Paste your wallet address.
  3. Select the amount (up to 5 SOL) and click Confirm Airdrop.
  4. SOL appears in your wallet within seconds.

Solana CLI

If you have the Solana CLI installed:

solana airdrop 2 YOUR_WALLET_ADDRESS --url devnet

Up to 2 SOL per airdrop. Run multiple times if you need more.

3. Start Using GradOrNot

Once your wallet is on devnet and funded:

  1. Connect your wallet on GradOrNot — it will automatically detect devnet.
  2. Browse available markets or create your own.
  3. Place trades using your devnet SOL — no real money involved!
  4. Track your positions, wait for resolution, and claim winnings.
Everything works the same as mainnet — market creation, trading, resolution, and claiming. It's the perfect playground to learn the platform before going live.

4. Available Devnet Tokens

Since GradOrNot runs on devnet, we've deployed clones of real pump.fun tokens so you can create markets just like you would on mainnet. These tokens have the same name, symbol, and image as their mainnet counterparts but live on devnet with their own mint addresses.
