FAQ

What wallet do I need?

Any Solana wallet that supports wallet-adapter — Phantom, Solflare, Backpack, etc. Connect via the button in the top right.

How much SOL do I need to start?

There's no minimum. You can buy shares with as little as 0.001 SOL, though very small trades may have higher relative price impact.

Can I trade shares after buying?

Yes. YES and NO shares are SPL tokens. You can sell them back to the AMM at any time before resolution. You can also transfer them to another wallet.

What happens if nobody resolves the market?

The market stays in 'Expired' state until someone resolves it. Anyone can call resolve — increase the keeper reward when creating markets to incentivize faster resolution.

Can I create a market for any token?

Currently, GradOrNot supports pump.fun tokens specifically. The resolution logic reads pump.fun bonding curve data. Other tokens may work for the 'Graduate' check but aren't officially supported.

What if the token rugs before the market expires?

The market still resolves normally based on its type. For Graduate markets — if the curve is still active, NO wins. For Survive markets — if mcap drops below the floor, NO wins. Your losing shares have no value.

Is there a mobile app?

Not yet — GradOrNot is a web app optimized for both desktop and mobile browsers. Connect your mobile wallet's built-in browser to use it on the go.

Who can resolve markets?

Anyone. Resolution is permissionless. The first person to successfully submit the resolve transaction gets the keeper reward.

Why can't I create a market for a token?

If you see a red warning saying an active market already exists, it means someone has already created a market of the same type (Graduate, Mcap Target, or Survive) for that token. Wait for it to resolve, then you can create a new one.

Where do the fees go?

The 1% fee on every buy is split between the protocol treasury and the market creator (20–50% to creator based on volume tier). If a side's probability exceeds 85%, a 5% late entry penalty is charged instead.

What is the early conviction bonus?

Deposits made earlier in a market's lifetime receive up to a 25% bonus on their weighted deposit for settlement. This means early bettors claim a larger share of the winning pot. The bonus decays linearly from 25% at market creation to 0% at expiry.

Why can't I buy in the last 5 minutes?

The protocol enforces a buy cutoff 5 minutes before expiry to prevent sniping — buying when the outcome is nearly certain. You can still sell tokens during this window.

How are payouts calculated?

Payouts are based on your weighted deposit, not your token balance. Your share = your_weighted_deposit / total_winning_weighted_deposits × distributable SOL. The weighted deposit includes your early conviction bonus.
